BidMate Shipping Policy
At BidMate we try hard not to have rules but this one keeps popping up.
Firstly this is not eBay so the term Shipping Pirate has no meaning here. We believe that the concept has been promoted by eBay and to a lesser extent by Oztion in order to maximize final value fees.
The cost of an item is equal to the cost of the item plus the cost of shipping and handling; that's it. There should be no arguments from buyers about this. If a seller has listed the cost of shipping and handling etc then the buyer has no reason to complain.
BidMate will not enter into arguments about this nor will we sanction sellers. Trying to negotiate a price after purchasing is against site rules.
We expect sellers to be reasonable; if it is clear you are avoiding Final Value fees (BidMate's only income), you risk serious consequences.
On the matter of combined shipping. If the seller has not listed it and you have asked once then further requests/complaints are not warranted and in fact verge on badgering and unreasonable behavior.
If you are a buyer and want to buy an item, the Price of an item is the Asking price + the shipping and handling amount. If you want a discount on the total price, then ask, before buying, but don't try after buying as this is against our rules. You can't buy first then negotiate the price after. |
