The traditional way of preparing Dream herb is to crush the dried leaf and make a tea from it. We have seen reports of dosages ranging from 500mg-12.5 grams. The brewed tea would be taken about half an hour before bedtime. At the same time a joint of Dream Herb would be smoked. The Chontal medicine men claim that a handful of the herb is a sufficient dose and that they know when they have taken enough because a sense of tranquillity and drowsiness comes over him.
